Ranyaka is excited to announce that BUCO Hardware, a division of The Building Company, is embarking on a journey with us as we tackle Fix Your Space and Land & Property projects that will help create places where people can prosper – in every sense of the word.
“Our team looks forward to this partnership with BUCO to help bring about the physical transformation of spaces that will serve local communities through a host of programmes. We believe that cross-sectoral collaboration and strategic partnerships are key to sustainable, positive transformation in our country.
The projects we are tackling with BUCO’s support also form part of Nedbank’s Proud of my Town programme, for which Ranyaka is the implementation agent. It’s inspiring to see corporates joining forces around a shared vision to bring about positive change,” says Johan Olivier, Ranyaka Director.
Projects
This year BUCO has committed to assisting with four projects in collaboration with Ranyaka in the Western Cape where BUCO has a relatively wide store footprint. The shared journey opens many doors and benefits communities, entrepreneurs and school children in surrounding neighbourhoods, especially during these tough times.
The four projects include the renovation of the Stellenbosch Economic Hub in central Stellenbosch and the community centre in the Breughel Theatre complex in Cloetesville in Stellenbosch. Then there is a vegetable garden project at an Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre in the community of Klapmuts and finally, the Chicago Development Initiative in Paarl which includes an exciting garden transformation project at the Orleansvale Primary School.
Restoring, rebuilding, renovating
Says Lesego Moagi, Group Executive Marketing for The Building Company: “At BUCO we focus our initiatives on those of building, structural and aesthetic improvements, which have synergy with our core business – building materials! That’s why BUCO is committed to making meaningful contributions to the communities that we operate in through assisting formally registered organisations that are focused on restoring, rebuilding and or renovating spaces, which resonates with our slogan “Let’s Build Together”
“Because place has such power to shape, we must be mindful of how we shape our places.” – Doug Sikkema
