Situated on the banks of the Berg River, Paarl is a town steeped in history and characterised by natural beauty, rolling vineyards and beautiful architecture. Looking in from the outside, the area appears to be one of wealth and prosperity. Paarl is, however, also home to many challenges with thousands of residents facing a daily battle to survive.
