This morning, we visited Klapmuts Junior Academy to see how the children are settling into their brand-new classroom-in-a-container, donated by Nedbank as part of its Proud of My Town programme in Paarl.

The excitement and energy levels were sky high – as high as principal, Fagma Swart’s, hopes and dreams for these young children! One thing is clear: this is Fagma’s calling – and these wonderful little people are living testimony to this fact.
They eagerly pointed out and accurately named shapes, colours, numbers, letters; recited the alphabet; participated in fine and gross motor activities; and even told me about our new president and that the parliament is where the important meetings are held!

Klapmuts Junior Academy is one of numerous ECD centres that benefits from ongoing support of Inceba Trust and Valcare. The educational toys in Fagma’s centre are from the local Inceba toy library and are rotated on a regular basis so that the children have access to a variety of toys.

Fagma, to you and your team – keep up the AMAZING work! You are shaping young lives and these children are going to one day help shape society for the better because of everything that you are investing in them today!
