Have you ever been deeply impacted by a person’s life story? Do you agree that storytelling is powerful, especially when someone shares their own story?
We believe that stories have the power to unite, build empathy, connect, inspire and encourage. From 25 to 29 September 2022, the Ranyaka team (implementation agents of the Nedbank Proud of my Town programme) had the privilege of partnering with popular Western Cape-based radio station, Radio KC, on their #OnseMense (‘our people’) 2022 roadshow. The five-day roadshow saw the Radio KC team visit several communities in the Western Cape – from Saron, Gouda, Wellington and Paarl to the picturesque Dwarsrivier Valley just outside Stellenbosch.
Community members and local change agents visited the Radio KC mobile broadcasting station to share their stories, but also to join in the festivities. And what a festive week it was, with Radio KC also celebrating their 26th birthday this year!
Thank you to the Nedbank Proud of my Town programme for their contribution as one of the main sponsors for the week’s roadshow. A Nedbank mobile banking team joined in the roadshow and were on site to offer banking advice and offer a range of services.
