As part of the fight against Covid-19 in the area, the West Rand District Municipality launched its public spaces sanitizing programme in Magaliesburg last Wednesday. Work continued this morning after rain halted the process over the weekend.

Ranyaka’s local co-ordinator, Ryan Marsden is a member of the Mogale Response Services team and is involved hands-on in this process that will be repeated twice weekly to sanitize high-traffic public areas.

Thank you to Nedbank for their contribution towards this critical initiative through its #proudofmytown fund. A big thank you also to the Magalies Business and Tourism Forum – MBTF for contributing towards the purchase of chlorine for the operation.

To all of you working on the frontline to create safer spaces for South Africa and providing essential services, thank you!

To the rest of South Africa, #stayhome and #staysafe
