The places where we live, learn, work and play every day matter. We believe that one cannot tackle deeply-rooted issues such as unsafe neighbourhoods, inequality, intergenerational poverty and rampant crime without starting with the backdrops against which these issues play out.

This is why, as an urban planning social enterprise, we start with PLACE. Because everything happens somewhere – and that somewhere impacts every aspect of every individual’s life.

In the words of Doug Sikkema: “Because place has such a power to shape, we must be mindful of how we shape our places.”
