Today, 200 engineering students from Stellenbosch University joined the Ranyaka team for a walkabout through Klapmuts. The students have now been tasked with coming up with people-centered design solutions to address specific problematic issues in Klapmuts.
Last week, the group attended a lecture presented by our team leaders Johan Olivier and Marli Goussard, where the important role that engineers have to play in the social innovation arena was highlighted.
Thank you to the university and its Social Impact Department in particular for the opportunity! We look forward to even more collaborative initiatives. Thank you, Anniza Burnett from Valcare for joining us today.
