Last weekend, some 1,200 members of of the Klapmuts community joined the Ranyaka team as we celebrated Nedbank‘s soon-to-be-launched Proud of my Town initiative.
The day’s programme was jam-packed from start to finish, including performances by talented local artists and groups, Nedbank’s Industrial Theatre team, the drama group from Simplicity 4 Change as well as a presentation for the children by the Stellenbosch traffic department.
Thank you to the community of Klapmuts for your hospitality, for sharing your talent and for participating in this fun family day! A big thank you to Klapmuts Primary School for the use of their premises – thank you, Mr Frans! And another thank you to the formidable team of Klapmuts community members who assisted in the arrangements for the day.
Proud of my Town is all about tackling the socio-economic challenges facing communities in a collaborative, integrated and sustainable way. Ranyaka is the implementing agent for the initiative. Its first focus area is Early Childhood Development. Keep watching this space for more news on this soon!
